Star Wars: Where Science Meets Imagination
This was the final leg of the tour! San Jose Tech Museum, 22 Mar 2014! The Golden Gate Garrison of the 501st invited the Central California Garrison to troop with them at the museum on it's final weekend. This was a fun event and allowed my son and I to take a look at the real props and costumes used in the making of all 6 Star Wars films.
So many pictures, but here's some of the highlights:
Falcon Cockpit
Taun-Taun and Luke! Used in Stop Motion filming for Empire Strikes Back.
The little green man himself! YODA!
Wookiee
Walker from Empire Strikes Back
I know the photo is dark, but if you look carefully, that's my 5'10" son standing on the left side of the photo. That's how big this X-Wing was!
Me standing next to a screen used Vader suit.
TJ and the suit
I didn't read the little sign, but I think this was a Return of the Jedi Trooper
The Chicken Walker
More wonderful vehicles!!!
Shawn Crosby's (ObiShawn) custom Star Wars car!
Again, hard to tell from this shot, but that's the 6 foot Millennium Falcon behind me.
The queue line of the exhibit.
TJ & I in the hallway of the Millennium Falcon
These guys were HUGE!
These are not the droids I was looking for!
This was one of my favorite shots of the day! Love taking pics with my son TJ!
One of the Employees working the exhibit!
Standing outside, greeting the crowds. Notice the Jurrasic Park Jeep behind us?
More photos with the gang.
Next to ObiShawn's vehicle.
Ed and I take turns in our Vader Suits so we aren't both exhausted beyond belief at the end of the day. So glad we could split the day up. Would have killed either one of us if we had to troop the whole day alone!!!
Come see this exhibit or pay the price!
Looks like a shot right out of Jabba's Palace...just a wrong coloring.
We would be honored if you would join us!
Me standing next to the screen used suit again.
Shame this shot was so dark of me standing in the hallway of the Millennium Falcon
Walking up to the museum!
All I can say...WOW! What a day! So glad we could troop this event!
