REPAINTING VADER ARMOR

Fiberglass tends to take a beating when your trooping. I had a LOT of cracks in my Vader Armor. Well, after 3 days of work, it's repainted and clear coated. Now to let it sit for a week so I can buff and polish it. The finish isn't as perfect as I wanted, but I had to move pretty quickly since I have two events to wear it to in August.

AT-AT WALKER MODIFICATION

Here's the before and after pictures of my AT-AT Walker Statue. I never really liked the black base it was on and felt like it needed some more weathering...here's my snow version.

Here's a "Before" shot.  Note the Black Base and minimal "Snow" on the Walker.  I don't have a TRUE before shot, because when I first obtained this piece a few years ago, there was no "Snow" on it at all, so I painted some on.  Some of the wear and weathering was enhanced by me as well. 

After about two hours work and some fake snow from an arts and crafts store, here's the result.  I'm MUCH happier with the piece now!

IRONMAN HELMET UPDATE

Here's the blue L.E.D.'s installed in my Ironman Helmet. I'll be changing them to white soon.

MY SON LOVES VAN HALEN

So proud of my son's taste in music!! He's a huge Van Halen fan! Almost as much as me! LOL

We took a trip to Reno a few weekends ago and caught a Van Halen cover band called Hot For Teacher playing an outdoor show! This is TJ and guitarist Jude Gold after the show.

Even though I haven't had much time to update my blog, R2 hasn't been sitting by the wayside. I have progress photos to post later, but here's where I am with him as of today. He still needs feet, but we're gettin' there! ;)
